A wonderful spot that provides a fantastic Vegan tasting menu and an omnivore option for those who are not of the same palate. This is a review of the tasting menu for Omnivore $145 and iberico pork supplement for $18 (4/5) Honestly, the white asparagus ALONE could have made this place a 5/5 because those are some phenomenal veggies. Texture, plating, and each bite being a new surprise was an EXPERIENCE. Service is on-point, they always made sure we were okay and refilled accordingly even without being asked. Exquisite Service for sure. (5/5) Other than that this is probably one of the best Vegetarian tasting menus that a person can get as Musket Room is making strides. A point taken down because the casual atmosphere brought some really loud guest that took away from appreciating the environment or food as a nice date spot. Some of the food also did not really hit like the halibut or potato cauliflower. Can't say I was the biggest fan of them. If you do get the garden (It is a rule that you MUST be punctual, it would be an EASY 5/5. It looks beautiful and most likely out of the way from all the noise) The Musket room is absolutely worth the visit for Vegans specifically and for those willing to give Vegan tasting menus a try as the Omnivore gives you the best of both worlds. P.S. The bathroom is great. No complaints. It is very clean and you honestly feel rude messing it up.

Located in Greenwich Village this restaurant is easily accessible by metro, bus, taxi, etc. Do not recommend driving yourself or parking or wine pairing! We were pleasantly greeted and quickly seated. We had a reservation, which is highly recommended for this restaurant with both Michelin and James Beard recognition. Appreciate the fact that the dress code was relaxed in the extremely hot weather so that my husband could wear dress shorts in lieu of pants. Enjoyed every course of our tasting menu immensely. Particularly, the foam cauliflower soup, which was extraordinary and surprising. Anchovy butter served with sourdough bread was a nice twist. Would've appreciated a little bit more explanation of our food as they were so exquisitely and delicately prepared. The wine pairing was fun, different and very well done. Honestly, not sure that the pasta add on was good value for the money. The Wagyu option extra was definitely worth it. Enjoyed our meal and would definitely recommend to anyone that appreciates high quality in their food and service.

My date and I found the ambiance to be exceptional. The customer service was sublime, and I will surely be coming back here! My top favorites from their vegan menu were the Trio of Canapés: Seaweed Caviar with Ramp and Cucumber, and the Carrot with Spring Garlic, Tofu & Celtuce. They paired beautifully with DOMAINE BELLEGARDE, MANSENG BLEND, 'PIERRE BLANCHE' Jurançon, France 2022, and MARKUS MOLITOR, RIESLING, HIMMELREICH, SPÄTLESE Mosel, Germany 2018.

Came here for dinner one evening with a friend a few months ago. I decided to order a la carte, which may not have been the best move for a place like this. I ordered their beet tartare dish and their pasta dish at the time (which came garnished with parsnip crisps and shaved black truffles), along with a cocktail. My friend and I also shared their bread starter and 2 desserts - their ice cream tasting, and a slice of citrusy cake. I thought all of my choices were quite good, albeit pretty expensive when ordered a la carte. I think you'll definitely have a better experience overall if you do their prix-fixe menu instead. My friend also liked her choices, though she also agreed about the a la carte vs. prix-fixe menu choices. Overall, though, we had a very nice experience here. Our server was super friendly and attentive, and the items we did order were very tastefully (no pun intended) arranged and presented. I would come back here for their set menu instead in the future.

Visited again for a la carte service. Our server again was amazing. We decided to get the bread and spreads. I really enjoyed the anchovy butter, the ricotta spread. The chicken liver mousse spread was flavorful, but not my favorite. We ordered another round of bread ($6) that came with more anchovy butter and it was definitely not wasted! Yum! Hamachi crudo - fresh, but again, if you go to sushi / omakase resturants, it is not something unique Rabbit - interesting presentation, tasted like very soft chicken Wagyu - cooked well Salmon - this was recommended by the server. I usually don't order fish because I make pretty good fish at home just by baking. However, this was the best dish out of all of them. And we used bread to dip into the sauce ::chef's kiss:: Espresso martini - WOW, got this last time and got it again. Always a great place for dinner and cocktails.

TLDR: Beautiful presentation and a great place for an occasion dinner. This restaurant definitely deserves its Michelin star for presentation and ambiance alone. The service was also lovely and the a la carte gave us options to customize our menu. We highly recommend trying an array of dishes

Great restaurant that unfortunately was a bit thin with vegetarian options. Opening drink menu is pretty simple, but loved my cold brew and campari cocktail: very chill but well done so it gets points. And the gnocchi I got was absolutely stunning; beautiful presentation and I just do not understand how they got the crisp on each bite as they did. Portion size is pretty small so I was a bit hungry, but ambiance and service here were all great, so would recommend... especially if you have less dietary restrictions

Simply amazing! We had the omnivore tasting menu with the following three add ons: Kristal Caviar Service with Crème Fraîche, Egg Confit & Japanese Milk Bread $115 Jamón Ibérico with Smoked Mussels, Potato & Saffron $18 Potato Gnocchi with Morels, Pistachio & Loroco $28 The flavors in the dishes from the tasting menu were fantastic. They felt very heavy and rich. We also enjoyed the add ons. The milk bread and crème fraiche really brought out the caviar flavors! The service was fantastic too.

Celebrated Valentines Day here, and got to experience the Musket Room x Salt&Straw menu. We were really impressed how they were able to weave in the ice cream/sweet aspect into all the dishes. The cocktail I got had sorbet inside which was cute, but definitely too sweet for me. The food was perfect though, we thoroughly enjoyed every dish. Service was great and the sommelier was so nice.

I came here for a dinner with a party of four. We sat inside. They have a nice garden patio at the back of the restaurant for those who prefer to eat outdoors. Our server was fantastic. He was very helpful with cocktail descriptions. One of my friends arrived a half hour late and our server was willing to ask the chef to make special accommodations for her. To drink, I had the Rocket Power. The arugula and braulio gave it a pleasant herbal, vegetal taste. It was light and refreshing. We opted for the six course tasting menu. They have an optional wine pairing you can add on as well. They also have a la carte dining. Overall, I enjoyed the vegan tasting menu. The portion sizes were on the smaller side so I wasn't stuffed by the end of the meal. The vegetable preparations were artful and creative. However, I didn't feel memorably wowed by any particular course. I think including a slightly heavier dish with a pasta or rice would have helped round out the meal. They served the bread with the first course, which was a bit surprising, but it was nice to have it on hand to soak up the sauces from each dish. After the meal, they gave each guest a small to-go box with desserts inspired by the flavors from the food courses, which was a cute, thoughtful touch. The meal didn't quite leave me raving, but still a lovely experience for a special occasion.
